In 2022 Hubbub Theatre Company commissioned lead artists to co-create new works with the company actors.
The Kale King was a co-creation between Lucy, Jo, Tom, Bharat, Bethany and Rachael. It’s about being silly. It’s about rituals. It’s about when your love of kale goes a bit too far. Long live the Kale King!
Lucy is a lead artist with Hubbub Theatre company and worked with Jo May on lots of different Hubbub projects. With cheeky smiles and sparkles in their eyes, collaborations between Lucy and Jo were always playful. But they weren’t always about kale.
